We Remember Kim Connolly...

The House of Hope staff, board, and residents remember with gratitude the contributions of Kim (Gatheral) Connolly, who died suddenly and unexpectedly in March of 2005. She contributed to the welfare of the shelter in many ways: as board Secretary and as a member on the Harvest of Hope planning committee for many years.

Kim's greatest love was for the children at the shelter, and she added to their well-being by her unassuming contributions of play equipment and her continual presence at the shelter, leading a play group or a cookie cooking class. Kim's love and generous spirit are acutely missed. As a reflection of our love and appreciation for Kim, we are naming the toddler area of our new and greatly improved playground in her memory. This naming will, we hope, honor Kim and remind us to continually love our children as she did. Our deepest sympathy is extended to Ed, her husband, and her dear parents, Francis and Patricia Gatheral.
